Modesto Technical College

Provides training in trade and technical areas. Training for the beginner as well as the advanced technician is available. We can also help you prepare for any of the necessary certifications in the areas of training.  Getting the necessary certifications helps put the hire in your Hire Education.  

We are centrally located and can serve all of northern California. Our location in Modesto is especially convenient for students in Turlock. Merced, Stockton, Sacramento, and Fresno.

School of Automotive Technology

Our Auto Mechanics training program provides trade training in : Brakes, Air conditioning, Engine Performance, Fuel Injection, Electrical Systems, Steering & Suspension, and Alignment. (MACS Certification) A/C Certification is included. Prepare for your State Smog Cert Test (BAR Smog Technican Certification).

Up-Date Classes and Alternative classes are available for the Smog Tech. Train to become an Automotive Technician in our Auto Mechanics Repair Program. You can also earn you State Brake and Lamp License and prepare for your ASE Certification.

School of Industrial Technology

Our Industrial maintenance trade program trains you to become an Electrician, HVAC Technician, or commercial/Industrial refrigeration Technician. You can study for and train to pass the EPA 608 Universal Certification for HVAC Technicians. Trade school training in our technical college prepares you for a solid career.

Our Courses cover trade training in: Commercial Electricity, Commercial Refrigeration, Programmable Logic Controller programming for Motors and Controls, Pneumatics and Hydraulics.  These courses  prepare you for a career as an Industrial Maintenance Technician.

We also offer preparation for the industrial refrigeration RETA CARO Certification exam.

School of Welding Technology

Modesto Technical College wants to provide you with the information you need to decide if a career in welding is the right profession for you. We offer courses and training for the beginner wishing to become a welder and the professional welder wishing to increase their skills in certain welding techniques.

As a graduate of the Modesto Technical college welding school you'll possess a skill with career opportunities and earning potential. According to many local and national news reports, qualified welders are in short supply and are listed as a "high priority occupation" for the growth of the economy.

Graduates of our welding training programs become qualified welders who are sought after by many employers. We are approved to enroll students from: Workers Compensation vouchers, WIA, Vocational Rehabilitation, and Veterans GI Bill Educational Programs.
